rclone-backup

A private, owner-operated use of rclone to back up and synchronize selected files between a personal storage server and the owner's Google Drive.

Why Google Drive access is requested

The application uses the Google Drive API to list files, upload selected files, download files for recovery and verification, and update or delete files when the owner explicitly configures a mirror. It requests Drive access to manage existing backup folders as well as newly uploaded content.

Selected backup folders use rclone client-side encryption. The separate Social Media folder contains readable photos and videos for the owner's workflows. Access does not automatically make those files public.

Personal use

This integration is operated for the owner's accounts. This website provides information about that integration and does not offer public sign-up or file access. Account authorization takes place on Google's website.
